The room should be warm, as your partner will be naked (but not at first). Light the candles, put on the music, and you are about ready.

Massage technique
With your partner lying face-down (and perhaps a small pillow under her or his head, and a rolled small towel under the ankles (to elevate the foot slightly) put some oil into your hands. The front of the body
Lift your partner slightly from the small of the back two or three times. Then on your partner’s abdomen, do large swimming stokes, and keep this up for at least 3 to 4 minutes. This area will ignite the sexual centers, and create a great desire for sexual union with your partner; but do not yield till you are finished giving the massage.
Continue with small circling movements on the chest or breast of your partner, and then move to the next with light pressuring movements only. Go behind your partner now and work on his or her face from behind. Do very light massage, not neglecting the lips, and eyes. Move to the sides of the forehead, and then end with the earlobes. There are great sexual centers (used also by acupressurists) there, and end with light pressure to each lobe.
You end the massage now on the whole of your partner’s body with the back of the hands, using only the tips of the fingernails in as light and long stokes as possible.

How to Draw a Graph Using Excel
Microsoft Excel has got a great feature called Charts. Charts help us to draw graphs based on a given data. This is an excellent tool to convert your data into graph within no time. Visualize a scenario, wherein you are asked to draw a graph on sales made during different quarters by your company. Let us do this task right away.
Open your Excel program. Input Quarter names in one column (say A1). This is going to be our X-axis in our graph. The next column should be filled with the sales figures corresponding to each quarter you entered in the first column. This column is our Y-Axis. Your basic data is now ready to be drawn. All you have to do is to select the entire region of data and click on the chart wizard icon provided in the menu toolbar.
The first step in the wizard is to provide the type of graph we want to plot. Choose a type of graph. For this example, let us choose Bar graph. The subsequent steps are for further customization of the graph. You can try out different customizations to make your graph better and eye appealing. These steps will ask you to provide a Chart Title, Name for Category X,Y whether you require grid lines in your graph etc. Once you are done with customization, click finish and your chart is drawn.
There are other types of chart types, which are pie, line, area, doughnut etc. These charts can be chosen according to the type of data you want to draw.
Vending Machines Won’t Make You Money!
I know some of you running a vending business are thinking is this guy off his rocker? Vending machines do make money, they’re a 24-hour employee that never sleeps, eats or asks for a raise. And to an extent you’re all correct but has it ever occurred to you that the vending machine is only your tool of choice to earn your living? Construction workers use a hammer, truck drivers use their truck, and venders use their machines.
So what’s the point? The point is the type of machine your using isn’t the be all end all of your business. The first vending machine sales person I ever encountered was selling a new design of Bulk candy machines. The kind you’d see in a department store or mall. He preached about the increase in sales his clients were seeing, but the cost of the machines was astronomical. I asked him a simple question about how a machine could increase sales, and voila I had found the hole in his pitch. It can’t, if a machine has M&M’s in it and accepts quarters either an older style or newer type of machine has the potential to close the deal.
So what makes you money in the vending business?
The magic ingredient is you! A simple scenario, you have three snack machines. You pay a locating company to place these machines, and you run around town collecting money and re-filling them. After about 6 weeks of doing this you realize that the amount you collect each week is barely worth it for the running around you do so you decide to sell the machines and chalk it up to the vending industry just wasn’t for you.
With this example you’re involvement in the business is more or less an employee. You’d be doing the same thing with the same level of involvement if you worked for the large vending company in your town. How can you turn this around? Simple, your vending businesses success depends on you. Your job is to place machines, and provide the best customer service possible. Are the machine placement company’s interests in you? Nope, they get paid whether your machines make money or not, the profitable accounts are dug up from your hard work, networking, and sales abilities.
So what more can you do to have your best shot at success?
Don’t use a placement company to get locations. It’s not the nicest part of the job, but everything is sales. You need to network, watch new businesses moving in, new developments. Let everyone know the business your in, you never know who’s office is having difficulty with their current supplier, or who’s brother is moving to a new office down the street.
Take care of the accounts you have. It can be easy to become complacent with your current accounts, you have them, each week there’s money in the machine you fill it back up and away you go. Remember your best account is your competitor’s number one prospect. Always interact with employees at your locations, find out if the location is satisfied with its mix of product in your machine. Let them know who you are, leave your contact info on your machine.
Last but not least always look professional. Remember what you’re supplying may not be the most important part of a companies inputs, but there are also others that can do it. By handling yourself and appearing professional in dress and behavior you increase the chances of earning referrals to new locations, new machines at current locations, and decrease turn over. It’s always less expensive to keep a customer then to gain a new one!
Football Pool – How to Organize – Free Football Pool Grid
There are many ways to set up a football pool. Here is one that is very easy to implement:
Decide how much you will charge per square. Usually $1.00 per square for a total pot of $100.00.
Decide how you are going to pay out the pot. Most common is to pay something at the end of each quarter. You can decide what percent of the pot will be paid out each time. For example, 25% after the 1st quarter, 25% after the 2nd quarter and so on until 100% of the pot is paid out.
Decide how winners will be determined. A very common way is to use the “last digit” method. Basically you use the last digits of each team’s score and find where those numbers intersect on the grid. If you are not familiar with this method, it is described more thoroughly in a free ebook offered below in the Author’s box. It will be easier to understand if you can see the example grid that comes with the ebook.
Now that the decisions have been made, print off a football pool grid (usually an 8-1/2 x 11 sheet with 100 squares that can be filled in with names). In case you need one, the free ebook offered in the Author’s box below includes a blank football pool sheet (plus full instructions).
“Sell” squares on the grid until all 100 squares are filled in with the buyer’s name. Buyers can purchase multiple squares.
After all squares are filled in with names, draw the numbers that will be filled in along the top and down the left side of the grid. Create 10 small squares of paper and then write one number (zero through 9) on each. Fold the 10 squares and put them into something to draw from like a hat. Choose somebody to draw one number at a time and fill them in across the top starting from left to right. Fold them back up and do the same for the left side, top to bottom. When finished, the numbers will be in random order.
Enjoy the game and pay out the pot as decided.

Common Cold Weather Snow Blower Problems
Snow blowers are made to run in the cold weather but when it gets REALLY cold outside, funny (or not so funny things) can develop. Same goes for a snow blower that is stored outside or in an enclosure where the temperature is at or near the same temperature as outside. If you have a heated garage, or a way to heat your garage or shed or wherever you store your snow blower, then you are way ahead of the game.
I don’t know how winter is in other parts of the country but, here in the Northeast, when there is a snow storm the temperature is generally in the twenties or low thirties. But sometimes it snows when the temperature is in the single digits or close to zero and that is when some new and not so nifty things start happening to snow blowers stored in the cold. Handles won’t depress. Impellers won’t engage. Engines that were running fine won’t start. Belts start to smoke and squeal when engaged. Cables break and starters won’t engage.
A lot of that has to do with putting away a recently used “hot” snow blower without cleaning off the snow. The snow now melts and freezes in the strangest places. Let’s address most of these problems assuming we have a two stage wheel propelled snow blower. But first, a brief explanation of the types of snow blowers out there.
A two stage snow blower has the large steel auger up front that turns at a fairly slow rate of speed and scoops in the snow. The second stage is the smaller, faster turning fan below the chute that actually throws the snow. A single stage snow blower has a fast turning impeller / auger that turns at a fast rate of speed and both scoops and throws the snow. The wheel propelled single stage snow blower is becoming rare as the rubber-paddled units have taken their place. They are lighter and less expensive to make and they throw the snow just as far or farther.
1) Let’s take the smoking belt or impeller won’t engage scenarios (usually related) first. You grab the auger engagement handle and no snow comes out of the chute but the belt starts squealing or smoking. Let go of that handle RIGHT NOW and shut down your snow blower. Tip it back on it’s handle bars if possible. If the gas tank is full, put some plastic from a grocery bag under the filler cap to keep the gas from pissing out of the cap vent. Reach in back to the second stage impeller. That’s the 3 or 4 bladed fan that throws the snow out of the chute on a 2 stage snow blower. See if you can turn it by hand. If not, it is probably frozen to the bottom of the drum it is housed in. There is usually a drain hole at the bottom of the drum to prevent this but it is not always sufficient. Occasionally the impeller blade coasts to a stop with one of the blades straight down. This makes it easier to freeze.
2) How to repair: Drag or drive your snow blower into an area where you can turn on some heat to thaw out the snow blower. If you don’t have this luxury, use a hair dryer. I’ve also seen people make a tent with a tarp over the snow blower and using a space heater to thaw out the unit. Be careful how close you set up the heater and the direction you point it. A space heater can melt or start a plastic tarp on fire. You could just direct the space heater into the auger area and hope for the best. It doesn’t usually take too much to melt the ice. Using a propane torch is the least desirable and most unsafe option, as an open flame is dangerous near any outdoor power equipment. Just a little bit of gas spilled nearby can be a potential disaster waiting to happen. You’ve read about it in the newspaper so don’t even go there or you’ll end up in the newspaper too. I can’t tell you how many times, back in the business, when we just dragged a bunch of frozen snow blowers into our warm shop prior to entering the “triage unit” and that was all that was needed to cure the problem.
3) How to prevent: Clean the snow off the snow blower and inside the impeller /auger housing when done snow blowing. Then make sure that none of the impeller blades is pointing straight down where the melted snow can puddle and freeze.
4) Auger or wheel drive handle won’t engage: This generally occurs on models with cables rather than linkage. The cable gets moisture inside and freezes. If you don’t have cables, follow the linkage to a pivot point that is frozen. This may require removing an access cover. Thaw out cables or linkage using same method as frozen impeller; safely applied heat.
5) How to prevent: Remove both ends of the cable and apply low temperature or white lithium grease. Work the cable back and forth to coat the entire inner length. WD40 or any rust penetrant may do the trick but the grease is more permanent. PLEASE NOTE: If you have a grease gun or use grease out of the tube or tub on your snow blower, make sure it is LOW TEMPERATURE GREASE. It will say so on the container. If unsure, ask the sales person – if you can find a knowledgeable one these days. The grease is usually blue in color. Don’t use regular ball bearing or general use grease on your snow blower. It will gum up when it is cold out and make parts stick or harder to use. On units that have linkage instead of cables, thaw out and spray or apply low temp lubricants on all pivoting parts.
6) Manual or electric starter won’t engage: This is why it is a good investment to buy the optional electric starter for your snow blower. If one starter doesn’t work the other one might. Again, safe heat applied in the proper location may solve the problem temporarily but it will probably happen again when the weather temperature drops. If your manual starter won’t engage or the rope stays out, it should be removed. There is generally a metal “dog” that freezes. It should be fairly obvious when the starter is removed where the “dog” or metal tab that engages into the starter cup is located. You shouldn’t have to remove the pulley but you should remove the center screw so the lube gets down into the pivot area. In this case, any sort of grease is usually NOT recommended. Use WD40 or similar liquid lubricant. Grease just gets gummy in cold weather, especially on a smaller gadget such as the starter dog.
If your electric starter sounds like it is spinning but it is not turning the engine over, then chances are the starter gear is frozen to it’s shaft. Thaw with safe heat. To help prevent freezing, a light lubricant on the gear shaft is recommended. On some machines you may be able to use a spray lube with the plastic nozzle extension on the shaft without removing the starter – but removal of the starter may be required. That way you can slide the gear all the way out and spray the shaft with low temp lube underneath where the gear slides or parks when not in use.
7) No start: A snow blower that ran fine the last snow storm but now won’t start, especially if it is very cold out, might just have a small amount of moisture in the tank, fuel line or carb that is frozen. Thawing out safely and adding gas line anti-freeze should do the trick but, if there is too much water in the fuel, you may have to remove the fuel line and drain the tank. But that doesn’t remove water in the carb. Some older snow blowers have a spring loaded drain on the bottom for that purpose. If not, you can crack the high speed adjustment screw or jet (as the case may be) open a few turns to drain the float bowl. This a messy job as the fuel usually goes in all directions or down your arm so have a coffee can and some rags ready.
Removing the carburetor or bowl itself is best left to a trained technician. But if you feel confident enough to try it yourself, be warned that if removing the float bowl (assuming it has a float type carburetor) is done in the horizontal position, the float and /or float needle can fall out. It is best to prop the unit up safely on it’s nose with an empty or near empty fuel tank. With clean rags and coffee can at the ready, the bowl can then be carefully removed and cleaned out. Carefully remove the float and check by shake it to determine if it has water or ice inside. If it does, replace with a new one and consider a carburetor rebuild kit while you are at the parts store.
Note: Some snow blowers have a diaphragm carburetor, and regardless of design, should have a carburetor kit installed if you are disassembling. Older Briggs engines with diaphragms have the carburetor bolted to the top of the gas tank and have to be removed as a unit.
As you can see, some preventative maintenance can go a long way towards avoiding cold weather freeze ups. If you are mechanically inclined but, can’t afford a mechanic, purchase a repair manual to help you with your project. It’s a good investment towards doing the job right the first time and it will feel good to do the job yourself.

Mission-Vision Statements
Mission Statements and Vision Statements are created to clearly convey the direction of the company. Companies without a meaningful Mission / Vision statement tend to be rudderless.
Mission and Vision Statements are all over the map. Some companies only have one or the other, while other companies will use a Mission Statement as a Vision Statement and vice versa. Used properly, Mission Statements and Vision Statements are powerful tools. They provide employees with a company direction. They provide the answer to which activities to pursue and which not to pursue. If an activity does not help your company move toward its vision, then don’t do it.
Mission Statements
The prime audience for a mission statement is the employees of the company. A Mission Statement should be concise. It should reflect the company’s business strategy and focus on the customer. It should answer three questions:
- What do we do?
- How do we do it?
- For whom do we do it?
What do we do? This question should not be answered in terms of what you are selling to your customer. It is about how your product or service solves their psychological need. Your customer expressed ‘frustration’ over some problem and by purchasing your product or service, their ‘frustration’ is now gone.
How we do it? This answer should deal with the product or service that you are selling, how you will sell it and how it is delivered to the customer. It should fit with the psychological need expressed above.
For whom do we do it? This answer should identify who we will be marketing to.
Geico example – It is important that when severe weather threatens, you know where to turn for information to ensure that you, your loved ones and your vehicle are safe. Auto damage adjusters from around the country will help handle the claims this storm season. These adjusters will remain in affected areas as long as necessary to take care of you and every GEICO customer.

Vision Statements
A vision is a statement about what your company will look like in the future – say 10 years from now. A vision should stretch the organization’s capabilities and image of itself. It gives shape and direction to the organization’s future. It should be fairly short and easy to remember. Let’s look at some examples…
Microsoft example – Bill Gates’ initial vision was to have a computer on every desk. Employees at Microsoft worked to make the computer useful [applications that people wanted] and they worked to make it easy to use. Today, their vision is to help people and businesses throughout the world realize their full potential. The initial vision had more meaning.
Sony example – Sony is a leading manufacturer of audio, video, communications, and information technology products for the consumer and professional markets. Its motion picture, television, computer entertainment, music and online businesses make Sony one of the most comprehensive entertainment companies in the world. Their vision could be clearer, something like ‘Sony will be the most comprehensive entertainment company in the world’ or ‘the world will look to Sony for comprehensive entertainment’.
Boeing example – Boeing has a long tradition of aerospace leadership and innovation. We continue to expand our product line and services to meet emerging customer needs. This vision is rather vague – they should be proposing what they believe those emerging customer needs will be.
Aerovironment example – AV develops and produces Unmanned Aircraft Systems and Efficient Electric Energy Technologies that enable our customers to rewrite the rules – of engagement, productivity, efficiency and safety – to their advantage. Aerovironment is a small company that went public recently. Their vision statement is quite clear.
While doing this research, I found it much easier to find a vision statement from a smaller company. The bigger companies didn’t always post their vision. Smaller companies appear to be more in tune to their vision than bigger companies. However, I would suggest that it is a mistake for a bigger company not to have a vision statement. It provides direction. What will the company be selling in the future? What does our customer base want? It keeps focus on developing the product or service of the future. It promotes innovation. It keeps you ahead of your competition.
There is an old saying – If you don’t know where you are going then it doesn’t matter how you get there. But if you know your final destination [your vision] then you and your employees will choose the paths that will help you get there.
Pulse Induction Metal Detectors
There is excitement in the air concerning Pulse Induction (PI) metal detectors. It is said that a revolutionary model is about to be released by several manufacturers. The main characteristic of PI detectors is their ability to ignore both conductive and non-conductive mineralization in the environment at the same time, while maintaining high sensitivity to all metal targets. Another positive feature is their detection range is not affected by the medium between the coil and the target. Performance for the most part is not hindered by water, sand, silt, solid coral and generally speaking, the air. Some PI’s I have used do not go as deep to locate a target in the air as they do for submerged or buried targets.
I dug a 1957 Roosevelt dime at eighteen inches with my Fisher Impulse. It took more than forty minutes to retrieve that coin in the shallow water at Sunset Beach in Tarpon Springs, FL and that is a primary reason I do not use PI’s for coin shooting. Another reason is the extreme sensitivity to all metal targets will mean digging about thirty junk items for every good target in most coin shooting environments. You will literally plow a field before you finish covering the ground. In doing a comparative test last year, I dug almost 300 junk items and retrieved only nine coins and three jewelry keepsakes. A third negative aspect of most PI’s is the difficulty of pinpointing targets.
Pinpointing with a PI is a learned art. Most conventional detectors either the center of the coil or a pinpointing button or switch makes for an easy retrieval of finds. One PI I own the target centering point is to the left side of center and is very difficult to zero in on small targets. My primary uses for PI’s are gold prospecting, Civil War relic hunting and bottle digging ventures. They go very deep! I have dug shotgun casings at nearly two feet, nails at fifteen inches and as mentioned above a dime at eighteen inches. Here is my positive thought for using a PI for relic hunting. The P in Pulse Induction stands “Power”! I feel empowered when hunting fields and woods for relics and an occasional coin is a great bonus. However, as a coin-shooter the P stands for punishment in most of my environments. I cannot use one in hunting a burned-out property lot, or on a sports bleacher area or on a ball diamond to name a few areas where a conventional detector with a small three to five inch coil will produce far greater rewards and not destroy the back or shoulders.

o Important Rule of the 123 workout: Do not carry over when adding or subtracting the numbers. Here is an example: 5 + 9 = 4 (instead of 14)
o The next step is adding +1, +2, +3 to each of the numbers. 1+4=5, 2+6=8, 3+8=1 – First Set of Numbers = 581
o Next is subtracting the -1, -1, -1 still from the stack number. 4-1=3, 6-1=5, 8-1=7 – Second Set of Numbers = 357
o Then we now add +2, +3, +5 to the stack number. 2+4=6, 3+6=9, 5+5=0 – Third Set of Numbers = 690
o List down all the numbers you came up with:

o We can now use the TTT method, otherwise known as the Tic Tac Toe method. It is called as such because it does look like a Tic Tac Toe table. Write the numbers in order on each the cells of the table. This table will now serve as your entire guide for this system unlike other Pick 3 lottery workout systems which would require some automated machine.
